I am trying to find some information of a Eliza Ann Davis may have been spelt Davies. She arrived as an assisted immigrant per the ship Donald McKay from Liverpool to Melbourne & thence to Hobart on 6/9/1855. She was single. aged 21, Wesleyan by denomination & could read & write. Her native place was Cornwall & her trade was nursemaid. I have been looking for a Davies, but on looking at birth cert & marriage certificate is is spelt both ways. The ship she came out on happened to be the one her future husband was on. They married 2nd October 1856. If anyone out there has any info I would truly appreciate it. |
