LILIAN DAVIES Lilian Davies is my grandmother who was born in 1890 in Shrewsbury. Her mother was Harriet Davies born c 1866 in Birmingham. Harriet's parents were James Davies (born 1821 in Holywell) and Hannah ? and her known siblings were Martha Annie born in Pontesbury, Mary Emily also born in Pontesbury and Alfred born 1860 in Birmingham. In 1881 James Davies was the innkeeper of the Hare and Hounds at Cruckton. Mary Emily Davies married James Fitz Bray (born 1858) who was the hotel keeper of the White Hart in Mardol, Shrewsbury in 1888 and the Britannia Hotel in 1891.
