I'm trying to find any info on my g grandmother's family. Her name was MARY ANN DAVIES and she was born in Morriston, Swansea(Wales) around 1884. She was the eldest of 3 sisters. The other 2 being OLWEN and KATIE. Her father was JOHN DAVIES and we think her mother's name could have been GWENLLIAN; who died when Mary was 12. John remarried a woman called SARAH and Mary was sent out to work. Mary went to London and became a cook. Her last place of work was as the cook at Cowbridge Girls School before she married a Thomas Rees in 1914. Any information on any of these family members; no matter how small; would be very much appreciated. |
