LEWIS DAVIES Hi . I'm trying to find information about LEWIS DAVIES, step father of my grandmother, Gertrude Turner. Gertrude's mother was Phoebe Skelcher who was married to George Turner. He died c1902 and she married ( though I have been unable to trace marriage) Lewis Davies in 1903/4. they had 3 children, Alexandra Gwendoline, known as Gwen, born in 1904, Nina who died when she was c15 and a boy who only lived a few days/weeks. Lewis Davies was a lay methodist preacher. He died in 1934 in Birmingham, aged 81. His death certificate says he was a chain maker journeyman. I do not any other information about him.Can anyone help? Thanks a lot, Sandra |
