Jean Ashbee (21/07/04) Margaret Elizabeth Davies I am trying to find any information on a Margaret Elizabeth Davies (my great grandmother) who died in March 1891 giving birth to my grandmother, Mabel Kay. The only information I have about Margaret is that she was a seamstress on one of the estates in Manchester and my grandmother (Mabel) was brought up by the estate gardener, Arthur Boulton and I have in my possession a silver cup awarded to Arthur in 1915 by the "Sandon Floral Society", but I have drawn a blank here. Mabel married my grandfather (John Kay) approximately 1920 and they lived in Eccles most of their lives. |
