Trying to find information on my great Grand paren

My grandfather was George Eli Davies (bn 17 may 1916) possibly in Newport, his mothers maiden name could be Alexander, he moved to London and married Lizzie A. Davies in 1936, mothers maiden name is Chapman. any help in finding another piece of this jigsaw would big greatly appreciated.

you could try www.gro.gov.uk - and apply for his birth certificate - that would confirm both parents full names.
