please can anyone help with any info on a thomas brisley davis he was a sergeant royal marines1863 he married a jane adelaide williams 1854 east stonehouse devon jane williams born about 1833 jane is on most census but not with her husband

The obvious source of info is the marriage cert. If he knew his father. the details will be recorded.

thanks for help am trying to find out where thomas was born also any military records tried searching kew records but no luck will try to get marriage cert thanks anyway

What was her marital status in the various censuses?

Try searching the National Archives Catalogue, just using Thomas Davis in the search box, and ADM157 as the series to be searched, but as you don't know where he was born, there might be a few!
