my grandfather was william samuel davis he was married to my granmother elizabeth(nee keane)my grandfather was a lace knitter in nottingham.my gandmother looked after there shop in st anns in nottingham...they had daughters annie,amy,twins joan & olive,margery,clara,and betty,they only had 1 son william..they had other children but they sadley passed away during the flu epidemic in the early 1900.i know my grandfather had relatives that emigrated in the early 1900.as they wanted my grandfather to go but he declined.and i know originally his family where from wales.he was a water polo player ,swimmer,he won 70 medals and other prizes in his youth. |
