Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 3 Send Message	I am looking for any information on a Jewish family. Louis/Lewis Davis, born in Poland c1849 but came to England and lived in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. One of his daughters was Rebecca (Ray) Davis, born December 1880 who married Crispin Yeo in 1901. Rebecca was one of possibly six children to his first wife after who's death he remarried and had three more daughters - Fanny, Lilly and Annie - and a son Jacob. On the 1901 Census they lived in New Bridge Street and he was a waterproof garment maker. I would be very grateful for any details at all. thank you

Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 109 Send Message	Hi there, Not sure if this is the same family but I thought I have just seen someone else looking for this family on the Ancestry.co.uk website in their message board section. Worth a look as it might be the same family the Cheetham Hill looks famiular. Regards Vicky
