I'm trying to find out details about my Grandfather George Davis but the information I have is very sketchy. He was married to my Grandmother Florence Maud but left her for a former barmaid of The Fellowship Inn in Bellingham South East London. This was about c1950. They opened a fish shop in Brixton but moved to Leicester after this but I'm not sure when. While married to my grandmother they had three children: Ronald, Florence and Catherine (my mother). When my mother and father married (father's name William McGhan, nickname Mick)they lived with my grandparents in Bellingham and my grandfather left when my brother David was about 18 months old. I would really like to find out if I have any step Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc and would be grateful for any help. Kind Regards Maryann Sorrell (nee McGhan) |
