Trying to find information on William (Bill) Denni

Hello I'm trying to find out information on William "Bill" Horace Dennis.
He was born in Luton in 1922, his mother's maiden name was Smith and I know his father was one of three brothers Arthur (born c.1887), Bert (c.1891) or Horace (c.1895) however so far I haven't been able to discover which of these three men was his father.
Bill also had two sisters and after he served in South Africa WWII stayed there for a number of years and he may have married whilst living there. He later moved back to the UK and lived in London with his wife who he married in 1954.
So if anyone knows which 1 of these 3 men was his father, what his sisters' were called or have any further information regarding his time in South Africa please get in touch.

If you buy the birth certificate it will give you his father for certain:-

William H. Dennis, mother's maiden name Smith
Sept. qtr. 1922, Luton, 3b, 597

and click on the red Search, and search for

births
surname Dennis
mother Smith
district Luton

you will find the names of his two sisters!

Searching at FreeBMD for

marriages
surname Dennis
spouse Smith
1910 to 1920
district Luton

will also find what has to be the marriage of the parents. Click on the page number and you will see the bride's name.

Looks like the father wasn't any of those three, unless we're barking up a completely wrong tree.

What made you think it was?

Ah ... unless the father went by his middle name ...

It's possible that this is his parent's marriage:-

Marriages Mar 1914
Dennis William H - Smith Luton 3b 563

Spouse is May Smith.

I think we have the correct marriage and William H. is possibly known by his middle name which is no doubt likely to be Horace.

i have a william dennis he married catherine bailey and his son was ernest dennis.born in 1878. was arailway engine stoker.in derbyshire. anybody know about elizabeth jane dennis nee jones
