My Name is Lynn Edwards from Australia.I am looking for anyone with info on Henry Edwards from Burton Upon Trent. He started a building business circa 1877. I have found him in the 1891 census from that area. Living and operating his building business at 55 Blackpool Street. Think he was born around 1842. |

Hi Julie....I have another census record from 1901 for a Herbert Edwards that was living at 65 Blackpool Street. Still trying to work out if he is ours. Just started researching this line of the family, so any info would be useful. |

My dads name is Henry Phillip born in 1926. His father was Herbert Sydney Edwards. He doesn't know a lot about his Granfather or beyaond, so its a bit hard. But he did tell me about the Building business and at one stage his father was involved in it as well. |

i think that is very very possible Julie !!! The dates add up, and I was wondering why at the age of 49 on the 1891 census that he had such young children. |

Herbert Bill Edwards is definately ours. He is mentioned in a book that was made for our family about the building business. He was Henry Edwards son.He would be my Great Grandfather. Henry Sidney (Sydney?) is my Grandfather. So I would say that Fanny in the 1871 census would be Herbert Bill's mother ? |
