Find Ancestors

I've just downloaded a page from this site for the 1871 census and the image isn't very clear. I'm trying to fathom out the surname of the head of house + a couple of relationship's and ages. The census was for Birkenhead.

James ? Head 30 Greengrocer
Sarah Wife 20?
Charles Dodd ? 39 ?
? ? 54
John Edwards Bro-in-law 15 Apprentice Blacksmith
? Dodd Bro-in-law 12


John Edwards was born in 1856 at Birkenhead, Cheshire.
( The Street name was also cut off from the left hand side of the image to add to my dilemma !)

I should be very grateful if someone could help me out with this problem !

I think it looks like Nelson not Wilson

I have had a good look and am certain the image is Nelson, not Wilson as has been transcribed. There is no one else on the next page, the top of the page is a new household in a different number house

Linda...Thanks. Looking a bit closer, it does look more like Nelson & cheers for the added Address + extras.

Fairhorn .... I found John Edwards on the 1881 census, but obviously not knowing James surname at the time...I'd come to a halt. Thanks for sending me the info from the 1881, I can now plod on with my research hopefully.
