my Great grandfather Edward Edwards born 1859 in Chirk Wales.
Cant seem to find him before 1881 when he moved to Lancashire and married Sarah Ann Jarvis. Can antone help.

quite a few Edward Edwards b1859 in Wales but I don't recognise the name "Chirk".
Can you give more detail on where you got this from - might it be an abbreviation or mistranscribing?
Anything else you know about him?

between Wrexham and Oswestry. Chirk has been part of the County Borough of Wrexham since local government reorganisation in 1996; prior to which it was administered as part of the county Clwyd and was part of the former county of Denbighshire. The border with the English county of Shropshire is a mile east of the town.
