Find Ancestors

I am 21 now and have been trying to find my dad for 5 years now, his name on my birth certificate is philip stephen edwards and he lived in old church road, foleshill, coventry in 1988 when I was born. He was not married to my mom but they were together since about 1985 until just after I was born. I have found pictures of him with me until I was about 2 and he attended my christening at all saints church, in allsley, coventry in october 1989. I have reason to believe he may have had 2 teenage sons already when I was born although I don't know their names. I think his parents were ivor and violet edwards although I could be wrong as they were only names I found in my moms really old address book. He would have propbably been born around 1945-1955 and was stated on my birth certificate that he was born in coventry. His occupation was listed as a "technical consultant" on my BC and I know he used to drive a motorbike and owned a white van in the early 1990s.
My name is Kate Norris but I was born Katie Jane Fulwell on the 8th august 1988 in coventry, when i was born my mother was living in eastlands grove coundon, coventry until i was about 5 when we moved away. I also attended cheshunt school in coventry until the same time when we moved house and school which i believe had something to do with my dad. My last name was also changed to evans at this time.

I know I have very vague info on him but would be extremely grateful if anyone could give me any more infomation. There is also a picture of him on my family tree taking in 1986.
