hi can any one help i am trying to find my great grandfathers mothermary's family she was a spinter living in kentish town when she had james in 1847 he was baptised in st pancras church i have no idea if she got married after having james or if she actualy was from kentish town, i would like to know if there was any other siblings. i know james got married to susan burcher b 1850 m1869 and had 3 children my grand father james b 1870 islington, loisa mary b 1872 islington she had a daughter b 1990 in islington but was not married and ada b1877 in islington which i have found her,and her family, any info no matter how small would be very gratefuly received. kind regards. maureen

You forgot to include the surname but I presume it is Edwards if this is the marriage.

hi christine many thanks for the info that is the right info except james edwards mother was a spinster so i dont know why he put his fathers name down as robert edwards as i have never found a marriage for his mother.

Was James born Edwards? (Mother's maiden name)
Or did Mother Mary marry a Robert Edwards after James was born?

hi michael thank you for your reply james was born edwards i have not been able to find a birth for him only a baptism his mother was a spinster living in kentish town i have never found a marriage for his mother i had my tree research by burke's peerage about 16 years ago thats were my info came from they never gave me any date's ie birth or marriage or death for her and no info who her parent were.
on james marriage cert he gave his fathers name as robert edwards. kind regards maureen
