Hi,
I have a brickwall and I am posting here in the hope that someone might just have a connection with, or know something about, James.

I have his birth certificate - James Albert Edwards, born on 27.8.1913, Dalford, Whittington, Oswestry. His parents were Harry Edwards and Catherine Broxton.

In 1911 Harry and Catherine are living at The Dalford, Oswestry –
Harry, 40, Coachman (Domestic)
Catherine, 36
Catherine, 10
Elsie, 9
Annie, 6
William Henry, 4 (my grandfather)
Emily, 2

By 1911 they had had 6 children but 1 died (Albert Edwards, 1897-1907).

I did not know that James Albert Edwards even existed until I started researching my tree - came across him whilst searching FreeBMD births. I don’t know if he died young or went onto marry and have a family and I would really love to know what happened to him? I have contacted all Tree Matches on GR but with no success.

I live in Australia so there could be a delay in my reply to any responses to this thread but I will keep checking.

There are a lot of marriages for a "James A. Edwards" to choose from, but there was this one in Oswestry ... ????

You would need to buy the certificate to find out his age and his fathers name

You could try the Wrexham records office:

http://www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/heritage/archives

They hold the local newspapers, may be more information in an obituary notice.

I will order the death cert and the marriage cert to see what other details are shown. That death registration certainly looks promising especially as the birth date is exactly the same??? The marriage could be promising too because he would be 24 years old.
