Trying to find Edwards

I'm trying to find out any information about a Jimmy Edwards. He is my great grandfather however my nan never knew him as he went away to war before my nan was born. All I know is that he is from Wales and was stationed in Yorkshire where he met my Great Nan and had a short relationship with her before being sent away to war. I know that they did keep in touch by letters for a short while,but after a while my great nan never got a reply to her correspondence and it was presumed that he had died. Any information at all (however little) would be greatly appreciated |
