We are up against the proverbial brick wall with two of my Husband’s ancestors, Ellen Edwards who was born in Hall Green Birmingham in 1888 and her Sister Elizabeth who was also born in Hall Green in 1895.Siblings were Kate, Henry Richard, William John and John Charles. Family legend has it that either Ellen or Elizabeth emigrated to Australia either marrying in England or after arrival in Australia We have a photograph, which we think is of whichever of the Sisters emigrated and which was developed at Nelson’s Chemist in Bridgetown, near Perth in Western Australia, we think from the style of her dress that it would have been taken in the 1920s.There was also a boy and a girl in the photograph If anyone has a connection or any information we would be pleased to hear from you |
