Open with key names/dates NOT with "I am trying to find anyone who knows anything about X" People want to know if their X is your X or related people but they need to open the entry to find out. That is very time-consuming.

If you see an entry with "I am trying to find anyone who knows anythi......." you will pass over it, won't you as you see something else with a name which interests you.

Good luck with your research.

Join the club, Alan.

You can try directing people to do this:

Under "Filter by surname" on the left, enter:

Posting Tips

and click "Search". (First you may have to click "Remove this filter" if there is already a surname filter on.)

I've put a collection of posting tips there, gathered up from numerous TIPS FOR NEWBIES-type threads here over the months.
