Distant cousins Michael and Mervyn Evans were born in Plymouth in the 1930's. Mervyn was born in 1936 I think. One of them died in the Docks in Plymouth. The other one emigrated to Australia. How do I find out which was which? Presumably there is a record of a death of a Michael or Mervyn Evans in Plymouth in the 1950's or early 60's. The other most probably had n assisted passage out to Oz. Are there records of those that went out to Oz on the £10 passage as I dont know which state he went to?

Tony
Michael and Mervyn's parents were Thomas Burrington Evans born Plymouth sept 1908 and Mary Elizabeth Snell born Plymouth 1908. They married 24 Jan 1935 so I dont think the Evans you found is the right one. If you could have a look at the marriage and death index.
Thanks
Mark

Two people have now spent time doing exactly the same research.
