I have a letter to my G Aunt in Australia from "Cousin Jane" in Helston, Cornwall, postmarked October 1979. "Jane" says "she turned 87 last July" meaning she was born in 1892. I was always led to believe that Jane was single, perhaps this is wrong, as I've looked on the 1901 census and nothing seems to fit. I also know that Jane had a son.
Is there anyone with access to Helston newspapers who could check for a death notice or obituary for Jane?
All suggestions gratefully accepted.
