Hi, I am having difficulty finding the marriage records of two of my Aunts,
Gwladys M Evans(1912-1981) v John Henry Johnson(1918-1986) they had a son John(Evans/Johnson) around 1946-49 who died in 2008 bmd all around s.yorks area. Possibly John was illigitamate.
Also my Aunt Cissy Evans(c1921-c2004) v Frank Bounds( c 1925 - 2009) they also had 3 children John (c1953), Robert and Kevin (c 1955-1959), around Notts area.(Cissy was perhaps a shortened name for ?). If anyone can help find the relevant missing dates it would be greatly appreciated.

Starting with the last first, there are unfortunately

- no Bounds-Evans marriages
- no Bounds-Evans births (or Bound-Evans births to match those names)

in the index. Might you have Frank's name wrong? Since he died this year, the record can't be checked in the index at Ancestry.

Cissy is pretty certainly a nickname. It could be for Cecelia, or Ceila - or it could just be a family nickname.

What might help to find the aunts' births, i.e. to find Cissy's name -- their mother's surname, and their other siblings' names.

And actually, my mistake -- Cissie Evans seems to have been a very common name (Cissy less so). There are dozens of marriages in that name.
