There is a death in 1845 in Bath but they do not give the ages before 1866

jax - they=GRO do not give ages before 1866 is correct, but the GRO is not the only place you can get a BMD cert. One can also get one from the local rego office, and some local ROs have their indices online, and the entry details differ from the GRO's. As an example consider the following 4 GRO index entries:

Births Sep 1840 (>99%)
Evans John Henry Bath 11 44

Births Sep 1844 (>99%)
Evans John Frederick Bath 11 50

Deaths Dec 1845 (>99%)
EVANS John Bath 11 37

Marriages Dec 1838 (>99%)
CARWARDI_E Hannah Bath 11 14
EVANS Lewis Bath 11 14
LAMPARD Mary Bath 11 14
LONG Edward Bath 11 14
MADEN Henry Bath 11 14
SMITH George Bath 11 14
WOOD Elizabeth Bath 11 14

the entry
BOURNE Eliza Clayton Bath 11 14
is missing on FreeBMD, but is on page image
[Correction subm'd]

Some local BMD indices are available via:

Thats interesting so there were no deaths of a child called John Evans between 1841 and 1851 apart from the one in 1845 and he was only 1 unless he did'nt die in Bath

jax - technically, there was a later death of a 1 y.o. John Evans in 1848. The other 5 John Evans 1841-51 deaths were all adults. Actually, BathBMD indexes the records now held at Bath rego office. These do include all the old Bath RD records - also the indices are complete thru 2000.
