GERTRUDE EVANS (NEE FARR) Hi I am hoping that someone can help me here, please. I am trying to trace Gertrude Evans,Gertrudes maiden name was Farr, she once lived in the Hickelton/Selby area in South Yorkshire between 1955 (or before) to 1968, within this time she was married to Frederick Evans, Gertrude and her husband worked for the Earl and Countess of Halifax. The last address that I have of Gertrudes where abouts is 40 Hickelton Village, Hickelton South Yorkshire. Her husband (Frederick) either left the Hickelton area in 1965 or died this particular year. On 28th of November 1967 Gertrude gave birth to a baby girl called Elaine (Evans), but the baby girl was adopted to a family called Smithson (that was from Doncaster South Yorkshire) within 6-8 weeks of being born and in 1968 Gertrude disappeared from the Hickelton/Selby area. If anyone knows of her where abouts or of any of her family where abouts I would be most grateful, any information not matter how big or small would be mostly appreciated. Thank You Jo |
