Trying to find Evans

hi trying to find anything about thomas henry evans, born 1881, birkenhead john edward evans, born 1885, birkenhead. bit of a mystery. my g/g/grandad william evans (1843 - 189?) married a margaret jones. both born in wales, but moved to birkenhead after marriage. had 3 sons, david, elias and william. rumour has it that william(senior) had an affair with a pub landlady/ barmaid - ? relevant. but after checking the 1891 census i find these 2 little boys living with william and his 3 sons (margaret was dead by then) and are documented also as being his sons.. this is the first anyone has heard about them. whose kids were they? william and margarets/ william and the landladys or what. cant find them in the 1901 census, although william was dead by then. i will be ordering their birth certs soon (hopefully the right ones). but if anyone knows anything about them/ related to, it would be much appreciated. many thanks, sara |
