Looking for any relatives belonging to WILLIAM PARSONAGE EVANS, born in Styal, Cheshire on June 5th, 1871. Had brothers GEORGE and EVAN and several sisters. Parents were WILLIAM (?) and HANNAH PARSONAGE. His father was the brewer at the Ship Inn in Styal, and his Mother was a lady butcher (shop next door to pub). The EVANS family was originally from Mold, Flintshire where I believe they were horse breeders (could have been farmers too.) He was also a world champion swimmer and held several world records, was member of Swan Swimming Club. Was an Engineer/Inventor and when he died in 1943 had over 100 patents to his name. He married SARAH JANE WESTON and had 9 Children, lived at 72 Park Lane, Salford and 128 Manchester Road, Swinton, where both he and his wife died. My Mother was CONNIE (Constance Mildred) EVANS the youngest child. Anyone who thinks they might be related, please send me a message...

My Grandfather was an Evans from the Mold area of Wales. His name was Gwilym Robert Evans as far as I know his parents were farmers.I think he was born about 1892 and died in St Helens Lancs about 1962. I think he may have had siblings. He is a bit of a mystery.
I hope you find this reply as your message is dated01/06/2006. I don't know if there is a family connection but the area and family name are the same.
Regards Ruth
