The Gardner family from the Leominster area

I am trying to find information on my great uncle James Gardner who was born in the Leominster area around 1890. I believe his parents owned a tobacconist shop under the name of E. Gardner. I am also led to believe that he had a niece called Winifred who may have lived in the Newport area of Wales. Any information would be much appreciated.
