This is a new thread, but is a follow on to my earlier enquiry about Harriet Fuller, the wife of William Gardner.

According to the UK 1841 and 1851 census's, William Henry Gardner was born in New York in c1834 and according to his marriage certificate, which I found on familysearch.org, his father was also a William Gardner (grocer's assistant). Can anyone help me find the following:

- His father's DOB and any other dates
- The name of his mother and her various dates.

Thanks
Roy

That could well mean that his parents were born in the UK then. I'll stop looking in the American records.

I can't locate him in 1841. Can you let me know where he is on the census. I have found him in 1851 but he only states America as his place of birth. I'm just wondering where you got New York from?
