hi iam walter gardner looking for info on my father walter joseph gardner born in manchester august 28th 1896 lived around the moss side area till 1938 moved to the blackley area till his death in 1955 if anyone as any info to share i would be gratefull walter gardner |

Hello Walter. I too am trying to find information about the gardner family. My dad was born Charles Arthur Gardner in Stockport in 1941 and his father was Denby Gardner born 1911 and his mother was Nora Clegg born 1910. My dad's siblings were John, Margaret, Catherine, Mavis and Ronald (not in that order though). I know that Denby's father was a police sergeant in Ardwick Green but I dont know his name. I do know Denby's mother's maiden name was Shaw but that is where my search comes to a blank until I rattle enough pennies out of the piggy bank to send off for certificates. |
