Member Since: February 2007 Posts: 53 Send Message	I am trying to find pre 1861 census information on my great grandfather Thomas Gardner.He was born about1836 at Bolton in Lancs and his wife is given as Mary A(Ann) born in Manchester. By 1861 they are in Newcastle upon Tyne, with3 chidren, and he works as an operativetobacconist. I know that he had a second wife, Julia A who appears to have been married before and she seems to be my maternal grandfather's mother. He was dead before my maternal grandparents were married in 1912. Margaret
