ALEXANDER GARDNER (or GARDINER) Hi - I am trying to find out any info on my grt grandmothers father. His name was ALEXANDER GARDNER, possibly from the WISHAW area of Scotland & he 'supported' my Grt Grt grandmother CHRISTINA DALZIEL (born 1832) after the birth of 'their' daughter AGNES DALZIEL GARDNER in 1859. We know that they were not married & she was 'living on private means' according to the 1861 census. Any info as to his status (was he already married to another???), did he have other children, how old was he when Agnes was born, etc, would be great to find out. Thanks.
