i am trying to trace my ancestors on the Gibbs side of the family. My dad was Harold Peter Gibbs born 15.03.1940, my grandad was Harold Thomas Gibbs born 15.07.1915 he married Kathleen Staton born 30.07.1915. Kath and Harold lived in Waterfall, Staffordshire until around 1947 when they moved to Grindon, Staffs and they owned the village shop and post office known as the White House. Harolds parents were William Gibbs born 1892 and Mary Prudence Salt born 1894. Harold and three brothers William known as Bill, Edgar and Des. |
