Trying to find Gibbs

Gill Report 7 Feb 2007 16:29

My paternal grandmother, Winifred Daisy Gibbs, was born in Plaistow, in East London, in 1884. Her father, William Gibbs, born 1862 in Southampton, seems to have been widowed when she was very small, and the family seems to have returned to Southamjpton. Winifred Daisy grew up in a different part of Southampton with her maternal grandmother, a woman called Eliza Royal, until she married my grandfather Francis Arthur Bullen. It appears that at least one younger brother, called Harold, went with her to the Royal household, and there may also have been another brother called Albert. Does any of this ring bells with anyone else? I would love to know more about the Gibbs family, and particularly about Harold and Albert.
