Trying to find Gibbs

I am trying to find information on my g g g grandfather, William Gibbs. His name is on the Wedding Certificate of my g g grandfather William Shaw Gibbs, who was married at Holy Trinity Church Brompton, Kensington in 1840. His occupation was given as Coach maker. I thought that Shaw might be the maiden name of my 3g grandfather's wife, and I found a William Gibbs marrying a Sarah Shaw at St. Luke's in Chelsea in 1808, in Pallot's Marriage Index. Could that be him, and could the couple be the William (c.1786) and Sarah (c.1791) in St. Pancras, Middlesex, in the 1841 census? The William there is said to be a sawyer (carpenter). It is likely that my 3g grandfather had other sons and daughters besides William Shaw Gibbs, but I have no way of tracing them. Does anyone else have the elder William in his or her tree, or other relevant information?
