Hi Everybody
I would appreciate any help I can get in trying to trace the birth certificate details of John Green. I have his marriage certificate to Martha Sarah Colyer they married on Dec 25th 1872 and it gives his age as 23 years which should put his birth year as 1849. His fathers name was Joseph Green but I cannot find a birth certificate for him in that year.
Can anybody help please?

As birth registration wasn't compulsory until 1875......you may find it simply wasn't registered.

Incidentally, my maths would make his birth 1849!

And unless you tell us where............................

Hi
Sorry he was born in Bethnal Green London I also checked 1849 and came up short on that as well.
