Arthur Clark Green married 1914 to Jeanie Glen Riddell in Welshpool, Wales.
His age is "full" ie over 21, occupation Railway Director and father's name is John, deceased, occupation Diplomatic service.

Can anyone help with place of birth, mother's name or age of either Arthur or John?

Many census searches have come up blank ends so far. Any help appreciated.

hi tina
can you give us jeanie.s details that are on the marriage cert unless you have not included them beacause you know all you need to know about her

Thanks Jacky, yes I know Jeanie's family but not when she died which is thought to have been in Romania. I have a photo of her and husband Arthur in horse drawn carriage in Bucharest. He seems quite a bit older than her, also she was left a widow and worked as a Governess then. I heard on the radio that often families working abroad could not afford to return to Britain when they were old having all their assets in the host country.

Any sightings of Arthur Clark Green anywhere would be good.

if his father was in the diplomatic corps then Arthur may have been born abroad

I have checked the consular births but no luck

Thanks Victoria, for doing that check. I did try the census for boys in boarding schools in case Arthur's parents were abroad and he was educated in UK. One possible I have since eliminated. I've not tried 1911 census yet perhaps Arthur will show up in there but I'm not sure if Wales is released yet.
