i am trying ti trace my fathers ancestors my grandparents names were herbert and ellen green they lived in leeds got married at st annes cathedral in leeds in 1937 i know from the marriage certificate that herberts father was called james green and he was retired on marriage certificate herbert and ellen had 2 sons my dad ray and david my uncle am at a dead end dont know if grandad had ant brothers or sisters and dont know where they originally came from have looked at 1911 census but cant find james green |

Hi Christine. If you have the marriage certificate for Herbert it should give his age. this should help to obtain his registry of birth, and a copy of that certificate will give both parents and start the process off. Ethel. |
