Edward GREEN born circa 1816, either Portsea or Poplar. Married Sarah Ann TIMPSON (1846) and then Fanny COWLEY (1860) and died Portsea (1891). Does anybody have any information about his birth and/or parents? Thank you.

I have a lot of Cowleys in my family tree. Do you kow where Fanny was born?

Hello Bridget

Fanny COWLING was born in Pickwick. In 1841 census, Fanny is shown as aged 14 and a Weaver, living with father George (50 - Weaver), mother Kitty (53), Charlotte (15 - factory girl). In the 1851 census, Fanny (21 and born in Pickwick) is a house maid to John Rumming, farmer in Bradford, Wiltshire. Fanny marries Edward GREEN in 1860 and is 30 in the 1861 census.

Is she one of yours? Any details on the birth and parents of her husband Edward GREEN, would be appreciated.
