Please does anyone have the parish records for the Westminster area of London? I have an Emma Green age 4 on the 1841 census born Westminster and an Emma Green married to John Holland Q.E. Dec 1862 Westminster. I would like to know if the baptism and marriage appear in the parish records there to establish if they are the same person and confirm her parentage. |

There is a baptism 26 Jul 1837 but the mother is Ellen. I'll look again later. |

My Emma says she was born Westminster on the 1891, 1901 and 1911 census. She was in Ireland for the 1871 and 1881 ones. I had seen the one on Familysearch and of course it is a possible match but I have seen another Emma Green of about the right age who could also be the child born Isleworth. I cannot find a marriage to great grandfather but she may have married in Ireland but there is this earlier marriage to John Holland and family recollections mention a name of Holland. I am planning to send for the marriage cert but I thought if anyone had an indexed CD of parish records for the Westminster area I could kill two birds with one stone so to speak. |

I don't think the one on the 81 census is the right one as my Emma has two children living with her on the 1901 census both born Ireland age 32 and 20 which makes me say she was in Ireland for the 1871 and 1881 census |

Thanks Ann for the info. I am off to bed now. Perhaps to morrow someone who has the Westminster records may come up with something that isn't on the internet. It really is a problem that she was in Ireland for so many years. On the 1911 census she says she has seven children but there were only four with greatgrandfather [that I know of] so I suspect that the others were with a Holland husband but whether they were in ENgland or Ireland I don't know. |

The only one I can find in 1851 born in the right area is age 14, a servant at 39, New Square, Saint Andrew The Great, Cambridge |

Thank you both. That is far more likely for Emma than at a school. Now all I need is someone to come up with a marriage and baptism at a Westminster Church. In the meantime maybe the marriage cert will turn up and we can get her father from that. |

Chris Thank you very much. On the wedding I picked up on BMD she is shown as Emma Maria Green so I don't think that Emily Eliza is the one but the other one could well be her. |
