My paternal grandfather was Herbert Arthur Green, born 1906 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire (died 1970). Married Nellie Currell in 1934. Trying to find ancestors of my grandfather - have found difficult with such a common surname!

As already mentioned - the first thing you 'must' do is to get your grandparent's marriage cert to make certain that you are on the right track !!

Do you know if your grandfather had any brothers or sisters?
