Elisha GREEN I would be interested to learn anything about Elisha GREEN, married to Sarah. Their daughter, Matilda, born in 1885 at Wimblington, married James GEORGE in January 1887 in Norwich. The family was, I believe, descended from the Lords of the Manor of Wilby, near Winfarthing, Norfolk, which was associated with the 1540 revolt, against the Act Of Enclosure, by Robert and William KETT. It is possible that some of the GREEN’S descendents are, or were, living in the Sunderland area. Ron George. |
