Member Since: August 2003 Posts: 8 Send Message	Can anyone help me regarding the parents/siblings of my husband's great grandmother SARAH ANN GREENWOOD, born c1849, in Heptonstall, Yorkshire married 1870 to REUBEN FIRTH born c1848 son of JANE (JINNY) HAIGH and her third husband JOSEPH FIRTH I have census records from 1871 onwards for Sarah and Reuben and lots of info about them and Reuben's parents but know very little about Sarah's parentage. So many Greenwood's in the area make it very difficult to ensure following the right line. According to her marriage certificate, Sarah's father was THOMAS GREENWOOD a beerseller of Newgate End, Heptonstall. Census shows him to be born c1809, his wife to be Sally born c1809 and Sarah's brothers John born c1835, Richard born c1839, Harry born c1842 and William born c1845. I am keen to trace Thomas and Sally's families back further and would welcome any information. Thank you.

	There are several possible death records for Sally and several possible marriages for Thomas and Sarah.

	Anita - have you seen the site http://todmordenandwalsden.co.uk/ you may be lucky enough to find memorial inscription (plus lots of other data) I have used it quite a lot looking for my Greenwoods
	Researching: Liverpool (Cartwright, Chambers, Miller), Todmorden (Sutcliffe, Mallison), Abergavenny (Watkins, Prosser)
