Liz 47 Report 6 Jul 2008 12:53

Trying to find relatives of William Alfred Haines, b about 1854 who married my great aunt Janet Langham nee Baxter in l907.
Their children were Alfred b l9l3, Beatrice b l9l4, Janet b l9l6 and David b l9l8. William senior and David were killed in the blitz in l94l at Invicta Road, Greenwich.

At the time of their marriage, William was a widower, a beer house keeper at the Boiler Makers Arms, Victoria Dock Road, and Janet was a widow living at Durham Road, Canning Town.

William had at least four children from his first marriage to Louisa, (maiden name possibly Smith), William b 1876 ,Harriet b l878, Edward John b 1882 and William b 1886. On the l88l and l89l census they were living in West Ham.

Janet may have had children by her first marriage, with the surname of Langham. The only child I have found is Henry Kent Langham born March 1902 died December 1902.

Many thanks,
Liz
