Trying to find info on the father of Henry Hall (born 7th May 1852),son of Dinah Ann Hall.Born in Aberford Yorks. Family story is that Dinah either was Irish and came to England pregnant with Henry and her surname was really Ball.Or she was in service in Ireland and was sent back to England in disgrace. The father of Henry either being stonned or kicked to death by villagers?? The father, legend has it was the son of the squire who she possibly worked for. Or if someone could give advise on how to research information without visiting Ireland as I have hit a brick wall!!!!

Thanks for replying. Sorry I have taken so long but am new to Genes. I don't want to offend or insult anyone. It's difficult, I know Dinah Ann did marry and had more children, Henry lived with them. But never took on Thomas Shutt's surname.
