baptism records for finding fathers name?

My G Grandfathers birth certificate had no father on it, yet when he married it had one on their. |

just to add ,have checked the records of the church and has listed john robert hall as father and states on active service, no dead end now . |

thanks for that, i knew john and hannah married then, they then had 1st son (uncle john) in april 1915. but accordind to the war graves commision john hall died at the somme in july 1916, hence he could not have been my grandfather. even though baptism records say he is and listed currently on active service.. so suppose will never know who he was . will carry on with the rest of the tree though as both my grandmother (paternal) and grandfather(maternal) had unusual middle names.Namely mitchinson and cresswell . thanks again |
