I am trying to find some information about an Edward Hall, who was assistant curate at the "temporary church of St Thomas", Billericay, Essex. He conducted the wedding of my gr grandparents and I think he may have been related to the bride. I wrote to the diocese but have had no response. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I have looked at the 1861 census but not come up with anyone who looks likely. |

They were Arthur Markham and Charlotte Hall married 5th September 1882; I have their marriage certificate. I just want to know about this Edward Hall. I just re-looked at the 1881 census (made a mistake with the date in my first message!). There are loads of Edward Halls and it doesn't help that I've no idea whether he was a cousin or uncle or what, so no idea of his age. I can't find any clergymen though. I feel sure that churches must have records of their clergy. |
