Can Anybody help me, I am trying to trace my greatgrandmother Annie maud Hall born 1880-1881. I Know her father was a labourer and his name was Edward Hall and that she married Christopher Alfred Hyatt in 1898. She was born in Lambeth London.

Hi Sylvia,
Many thanks for searching for me. My tree on ancestry is chrissy's tree I had entered what i thought was my great grandmothers family but i had the wrong connection apparentley. The annie and alfred you found are correct but alfred was his middle name he seemed to use both christian and middle names for some reason. This has made it very difficult to trace them. I would like to trace annies parents and siblings if possible. I know her father was edward and he was a laborer as it is stated on the marriage certificate i have for her.
Regards
Chris

Chris

always be open to the possibility that her father was NOT called Edward and that he was not a labourer

It is quite common to find a named father on a marriage certificate that did not exist ......... either because the child was illegitimate but thought it looked "better" to have a name on the certificate, or because the father may have died (or left the family) so long ago that the child did not in fact remember the name correctly.

Notice for example that the baptism for the Annie Maud Hall that I found says that the father was already deceased at the time the baby was born ..... or of course he may not have existed and the mother just told the vicar that her husband was deceased!!.
