I am seeking any information regarding my great grandfather John Hall and family, he was born in Smalley, Derbyshire. Married Sarah Lowe c1868 she died, he then married a Frances c1876.

Have you tried Derek on Records office he does derbyshire parish records lookups, l found derek very helpful. I will bump his thread up on records office for you Michele

Hi John......tankyou lorraine and michele fro drawing my attention to this.

John hall 1841 Smalley was one of four children of GEORGE HALL 1811 Farnsfield Notts...who married CATHERINE REDGATE of Smalley in 1835

They had four children James. William and Jiohn at Smalley..then in 1844 Elizabeth at Arnold in Nottingham.

I have quite a lot of history of the redgates of Smalley..but nothing for the halls beyond what is here.
