I am trying to find any information on my grandfathers bro Frederick Bertie Hall born 1891 in Norwich I have found him still at home at 8 Garden St Norwich in the 1911 and 1901 census and a possible marriage in Norwich in March 1920 to a May Morrant but when I search for his birth rec on Free BMD it comes up no match found and the same when I search for any children. When I search for a death one comes up for about the same age at Hartlepool but after sending for the death cert it seems to be the wrong one as the informant was his widow but she was an A Hall. |

Thanks Flick. The name Bertie appears on the marriage cert I have and I suppose that could be a shorter alternative to Herbert so we should be on the right track. |

Thanks K. Thanks for the birth info the first one seems to be the right one but I am afraid the 1901 Census rec is not the same as mine. |

If this man was your grandfather's brother, you obviously know the names of his parents.....what were they? |

I have tried going to freebmd and putting in the relevant surnames as this is the first thing I do and it comes up ' no match found' so would this mean that they had no children? |
